Here’s how it works, in 5 easy steps:
1) Start with an “Auction Unlock Key”
To bid on an item, you will need to “unlock” the auction through the use of an “Auction Unlock Key” (think of it as a small entrance fee). Auction Unlock Keys usually range between $1 and $5, depending on the item up for bidding. Keys can be purchased at: www.pulseauction.com/buy_auction_keys.html , and remember - all keys purchased and used for this fundraiser event will add to the fundraiser proceeds.
2) Pick an item to bid on…
We have 50+ items up for auction especially for this fundraising auction event - from gift cards to LCD TVs! Any auction that is on http://www.pulseauction.com/fundraiser.html from July 13th, 2011 to July 15th 2011 will be part of the fundraiser proceeds. Look for the Women in Distress logo in the listing.
3) Bid on an item as many times as you’d like– for FREE!
Once an auction is unlocked, you can bid as many times as you'd like - without any additional fees! We call this our "no per-bid-fee" policy and it’s what makes PulseAuction.com unique. With this patent pending auction policy, you know what you’re getting into and the hidden fees don’t pile up.
4) Can’t stick around? Set your Bid-o-Matic…
If your schedule doesn’t allow you to participate on the day of the auction – no need to worry – check out our “Bid-O-Matic” feature. Just set your maximum bid amount for the auction and the "Bid-O-Matic" takes care of the rest! The "Bid-O-Matic" will bid for the item on your behalf - up to your pre-set bid amount.
5) Get ready for some action!
The real excitement begins when there are 20 seconds remaining on the countdown clock. During this countdown period, every new bid adds 20 more seconds to the clock to allow other interested bidders to get in on the action. When no more bids are placed, the clock runs out and the highest bidder wins!
